After consideration of the public health guidelines developed by the Kansas Recreation & Parks Association as well as discussion with our peer communities in Wyandotte County, City staff has directed the snow fencing around the playground at Edwardsville City Park to be removed as of Friday, May 29.
City staff strongly recommends that park guests still observe the appropriate social distance and practice proper hygiene (avoid touching face/mouth, bring hand sanitizer, etc.) while enjoying the playground equipment. Additionally, staff is reviewing other processes that will help maintain a safe and healthy environment for all park visitors.
Thank you all for your patience while sections of the parks were closed off for public health reasons. We hope residents, visitors, and other guests have an opportunity to enjoy our amenities soon.
