[ARCHIVED] Temporary Sign Places to Test Permanent Location

The City Council has given direction to staff to review placement options for a community message board. This board, in the form of an electronic sign, is meant to give the community updates on community news, events, public health orders, and other pertinent information.

Staff is currently testing out the northwest corner of 4th & K-32 for placement of the sign. The mobile message board used by Pubic Works is currently stationed in the proposed area. Residents can leave feedback about the sign and its location on the City's official Facebook page HERE. Staff is currently awaiting guidance on use of federal money through the American Recovery Act, which this project may be eligible for. If that is the case, then the improvement would be at no impact to the property tax-supported General Fund.
