Due to the retirement of the City's veterinarian, impounded dogs will be held at Unleashed Pet Rescue (5918 Broadmoor St., Mission, KS 66202). If your dog is missing, please contact the Edwardsville Police Department at 913-356-6054 or e-mail staff at ekrauze@edwardsvilleks.org.. You can also use these contacts to report a found dog or to claim a dog which has been impounded.

Other notes related to reuniting lost dogs:

  • Rabies vaccination are required
  • Dogs must be registered with the City
    • Registration fees are currently waived and you can register your animal at no charge. This will assist City personnel in reuniting lost pets with their families.
  • Fees must be paid prior to impound release
  • Check the EPD's Facebook page if you have lost your dog. Found animals are routinely posted on the City's Facebook page HERE.
  • Unclaimed animals can be adopted directly from Unleashed after the mandatory holding period
