The Edwardsville Planning Commission will have some new faces to begin its 2022 activities. New members Ian Abbott, Mickey Schwartzkopf, and Camila Adcox were appointed to the group at the January 24 Edwardsville City Council meeting along with returning member Robert Niffen. In order to provide an orientation for new and current Planning Commissioners, a special meeting of the group has been called for Monday, February 7, beginning at 6:00 pm. The meeting will largely be a work session to review the roles and duties of the Planning Commission as well as its relationship to the Edwardsville City Council. The group will also nominate from their membership a Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary for the new line-up.

This meeting is open to the public and will take place at Edwardsville City Hall, 690 S. 4th St., beginning at 6:00 pm. The group will still conduct its regularly scheduled February meeting on Wednesday, February 16 at the same time and location. Regular meetings take place every third Wednesday at Edwardsville City Hall. For more information on the Edwardsville Planning Commission, please reach out to City Planner Bradley Hocevar at
