Stantec Consulting and the City of Edwardsville were awarded the highest recognition achievable from the Prairie Gateway Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for the design work done for the Edwardsville River Front Park Redevelopment Project. This project was lead by the City's Cemetery, Parks, and Public Spaces (CPPS) Board for their work with Stantec on reimagining how the River Front Park on 9th St. could be redeveloped by activating the river, expanding the trail, and providing a variety of small, meaningful spaces that respects and celebrates the history of the City.
The Edwardsville City Council recently authorized the development of design documents for this project, which will inform future phasing of construction. More details are expected to emerge throughout the development of the FY23 Annual City Budget. Stay tuned for more exciting updates on this and other park projects!
