bk5k-newlogo_orig

The BK5K Road Race is held to honor Bob Kierlin, founder of Fastenal and lifelong supporter of youth programs. All proceeds go to various area youth organizations/programs demonstrating financial need. Fastenal brought the BK5K event to the Edwardsville AutumnFest event in 2021 and received approval earlier this year to bring it back for the 2022 event.

The Edwardsville BK5K will kick off on Saturday, September 17, beginning at 8:30 AM on the south side of the Fastenal facility located at 9911 Woodend Rd. The race will follow the Phyllis J. Freeman path into the park, through downtown Edwardsville to the River Front Park trail, and ending back at Fastenal. Pre-registration rates are $20 for adults and $10 for kids aged 13-17. Kids 12 and under can participate for free. Grant opportunities for area 501c(3)s will also be released soon.
