At the groups last meeting, the Cemetery, Parks, and Public Spaces (CPPS) Board authorized use of Cemetery funds for a change order to the 2022 Street Maintenance project. The overall project primarily involves improvements along Swartz Rd., but the change order calls for a mill and overlay of the paved areas inside the Cemetery, including parking areas and the center circle drive. This portion of the project will be funded through the Cemetery funds, which is still expected to have a fund balance of approximately $27,000. This improvement is approximately $50,000 and is the most significant cemetery project in a number of years.

Other Cemetery projects the group will consider in the coming months will be repairs to the center planter and review of a master sign plan. Additionally, the group will continue to review restoration of the historic cemetery in central Edwardsville.
