Emergency Contact Phone
The Edwardsville Police Department is pleased to announce the installation of an Emergency Communications Telephone at our Police Department at 650 South 4th Street.
In order to provide a method for contacting a police officer during non-business hours, a direct connection phone has been installed on the wall of the police station for use by those needing services from a police officer. By opening the weather proof box and lifting the handset, citizens can speak directly to a call taker at the Dispatch Center. A message board provides instructions for use of the phone.
Previously, to summons an officer after business hours, individuals had to utilize alternatives, such as a cell phone, and had to know the number to call, as well as their exact location.
Please note the phone is for police services and not for any Court-related activities.
The City of Edwardsville is pleased to offer this much improved process for obtaining police services.
