In early 2020, the City's Cemetery and Parks & Rec Advisory Board were consolidated into a single body tasked with oversight and guidance of the City's various public spaces. The newly formed Cemetery, Parks, and Public Spaces (CPPS) Board is comprised of appointed members of the community that provide policy guidance and recommendations regarding municipally-owned grounds. Neither group has staff under their direction, but work with a staff liaison to communicate needs and schedule work.
This change was finalized by the City Council adoption of Ordinance No. 1028 on February 24, 2020. The makeup of the board is noted in the table below. Agendas and minutes for the group can be accessed by following THIS LINK.
